# What X (Twitter) automations are

An X automation watches one X account and posts what it finds into one authorized Telegram group (or your DM with the bot), using its own message preset. It runs from the moment it is created and stops when you delete it. A bot holds up to 10 at once.

## Creating and removing automations

X automations are created and deleted in the dashboard (**Beta → Automations**) or from `/menu` → **Automations Menu** in Telegram. Each automation is its own thing: it is live as soon as it exists and stops when you delete it. There is no switch to flip first. Auto Raid Mode can also be enabled directly from the menu. It automatically starts a raid on every new post from an X account of your choice, which works best with your project's own account so people are raiding the post as soon as it goes up.

From the Telegram menu, **Add a new automation** offers all three kinds: Follower tracker, Following tracker and New posts tracker (the dashboard's Posts from Feed). After the username, the bot first asks whether the automation should post in the chat you are in (**Post in this group?** or **Post in this DM?**). Yes uses that chat and authorizes it for the bot if it is not yet. No lists every authorized group by its current name with the group ID in parentheses. A new posts tracker is created right after the chat is chosen and uses the default message; its message, image, link and buttons are edited in the dashboard.

The goals for the auto raid (likes, retweets and so on) are your default raid goals from the raid bot menu. You can also set them in `/menu` → **X Automations Menu** → **Auto Raid Mode Settings** → **Raid Goals**.
