# Emoji packs: the three creation modes

An emoji pack is created three ways — a 3D spinning coin, a static image, or a paste of premium emoji from another pack — each with its own command. The same three appear as buttons when you add to a pack you already own.

| /staticemoji | No | Opens the From Image (static) wizard. |
| /mypacks | Yes | Lists your packs, 10 per page. |

## The three modes

Each command goes straight into its mode; none asks you to pick one first.

| Coin | "Let's make a 3D coin emoji. Send an image — upload a PNG, SVG, or AVIF as a file to keep transparency, or paste an image URL." |
| Static | "Make a static emoji pack. Send a name for the pack." |
| Existing emoji | "Gotchu, send a name for the pack" |

The chooser appears only when adding to an existing pack. Tap **Add New Emojis** on a pack's card and the bot asks "Add to this pack. A coin flip, an emoji from an image, or existing emojis?" with **Coin flip**, **From Image**, **Existing Emoji** and **Back** buttons.

## Authorization

The commands work in private chats and groups, not channels.

#### Who may send /newpack, /emojipack, /staticemoji or /mypacks

| In a DM | The bot's owner, or a DM-authorized username. |
| In an authorized group | Any member of that group. |
| Anyone else | No reply. |

## How to activate the bot in DMs

Telegram needs you to have opened a private chat with the bot before it can make a pack for you. `/newpack`, `/emojipack` and `/staticemoji` check this; `/mypacks` doesn't.

## The group on/off switch

| Effect when off | /newpack, /emojipack, /staticemoji and /mypacks stop working in groups and leave the group's command menu. |
| DMs | Not affected. |
